The Dargavel Primary Parent Council is a group of parent volunteers focused on enhancing the experience and education of children at Dargavel Primary School.
Our mission is to foster a strong school community, working closely with teachers and staff to support and improve the school environment for every child.
Through fundraising and organising memorable events, like the Halloween disco and Christmas fair, the Parent Council creates opportunities for students to have fun and make lasting memories, all while raising funds that directly benefit school projects and activities.

Interested in what the Parent Council have been doing for Dargavel Primary?
● Work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school which is inclusive for all parents and pupils
● Promote collaborative working between parents, families and the school
● Develop ways to actively engage parents to support children’s education, the welfare of the pupils and improve their outcomes
● Support the school in consulting with the wider parent forum
● Identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils
● Support fundraising to provide additional equipment and resources for the school
