Campaign to Enhance Learning Resources
As with many schools, our resources and funds are limited. As a new primary school we are lower down Renfrewshire Council's funding allocation.
This is where the Parent Council steps in. This year, the school have provided us with a list of key enhancements they would like to deliver. Over the next 12 months, we will be raising money for these initiatives through events such as our school discos, fayres, at the sports days etc. With your generous support we can achieve our target and deliver these and more....
We want the community to tell us where the funds should be allocated first. To have your say click here and vote for your top initiative.
Below are some of the key initiatives. If you can assist with personal or corporate donations, volunteer your time through the Parent Council, or support the school in achieving any of the listed items, please contact us at website@dargavelprimarypc.co.uk
We are seeking donations to provide new playground equipment for our children to enjoy during break and lunch times. We aim to create a fun and safe environment for all children to play and socialise while learning to share.
Can you help get us with equipment? Email website@dargavelprimarypc.co.uk
We are eager to landscape the area behind our muga and create a fantastic space for the kids to play. We aim to develop a vibrant and safe environment for all children to enjoy during break and lunch times.
This year, we are placing a big focus on reading. Alongside the incredible new library that was created during the last summer holidays, we want to fill it with amazing books. You have already been so generous and provided us with a vast number of books, but with such a large school, we still need more!
If you have books you would like to donate, please email a list to website@dargavelprimarypc.co.uk. We will work with the school to ensure there are no duplicates. Your contributions will help us create a rich and diverse reading environment for our students. Thank you for your continued support and generosity!
We aspire to reach a point where we have one computer for every two children. Currently, we only have a handful of computers per classroom. This is a significant undertaking, and therefore, it is a long-term goal for us and the school, but we'd love to deliver more than what has been asked if we can.
Your support will help us provide our children with the technology they need to succeed. Any contribution, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our school's future!
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the magic of live theatre and enjoy a fun-filled day together. But it is one of our more costly activities.
Fundraising
Supporting the Parent Council and the school doesn't always mean giving money; you can also contribute your time or expertise.
This month, a member of our school community helped us save money on key resources for the Choir's Glee event happening on 31st March. They were able to source t-shirts at cost price, saving us and the school a total of £150. Every penny counts, and these saved funds can now be used elsewhere to support our kids!

The funds raised in 2023 have enabled the Parent Council to purchase two new benches and communication boards specially designed as safe spaces for our children. These benches provide a comforting area where students can sit, relax, and connect with friends, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive school environment. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible—your support directly benefits our children’s well-being!
